If you are looking for things to do in the Médoc that go beyond a simple tasting, our tour at Château Meyre gives the wine a common thread. It starts among the vines, passes through the vat room and puts back in order the maceration, fermentation, pressing, fining, temperature control and the choice of barrels.
The estate covers 12 hectares split between Haut-Médoc and Margaux. The tasting therefore sets side by side Château Meyre AOC Haut-Médoc, Cru Bourgeois Supérieur since 2020, and Gallen de Château Meyre AOC Margaux. The Meyre sauvignon blanc completes the tasting on the Discovery Tour.
This reading of the vineyard rests on documented soils of Quaternary gravel, sand, silt and veins of clay. In the glass, you find two appellations from the same estate, with the landscape never separated from the winemaking choices.
